The French Peas: Jean Claude, Phillipe, and Cristoffe

Type of vegetable, fruit, etc.: Peas

First Appearance: Dave and the Giant Pickle

The French Peas are annoying, wise-cracking peas who are favorites among most VeggieFans, including myself. They are possibly modeled after the guards in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." The peas have had many appearances, but their two main accomplishments are playing the Philistines in "Dave and the Giant Pickle" and playing the guards in "Josh and the Big Wall." They also sang on the VeggieTales Christmas album.

Filmography:

Dave and the Giant Pickle (1996): The French peas star as the insult-throwing Philistines, who hope to make the Israelites their slaves and "scratch that little place on our backs that we cannot reach no matter how hard we try!"

Josh and the Big Wall (199: The French peas are the guards of the city of Jericho, who keep most intruders out by hurling insults and slushies! They did not reckon on the awesome power of God being with Josh and his followers, though! The peas also keep Bob from turning off the "What We Have Learned Today" song by throwing a slushy at him.

Madame Blueberry: Jean Claude and Philippe help host the show, and Jean Claude narrates the tale of Madame Blueberry, a very blue berry. The peas also work as stagehands, quickly rebuilding the set of Larry's new Silly Song to suit the needs of "Love Songs with Mr. Lunt."

A Very Silly Sing-Along: The French peas help Bob out by typing out the words to each song by bouncing up and down on the keys. However, they get a little carried away. "Jane, stop this crazy thing!!!"

Silly Sing-Along 2: The End of Silliness?: The peas appear in a re-performance of the song "Keep Walking!" from "Josh and the Big Wall." They also appear during the re-performance of "His Cheeseburger."
