The Orange County Supertones

The Supertones are my all-time favorite band! They play the brand of music known as Ska. If you've never heard them, make sure you give them a listen. You won't be disappointed! The Supertones play great music and have a great message--the good news of Jesus Christ! Check out www.supertones.com for more info on this awesome band. COMING SOON - (well, possibly anyway) Dave's Supertones Page!

Five Iron Frenzy

Five Iron Frenzy is definitely one of the all time awesomest ska bands, secular or Christian. They are energetic, funny, absolutely crazy, and best of all ministry-minded. While many of their songs are just fun tunes with crazy lyrics, they hit you with the message of Jesus Christ plenty of times with no apologies. Songs like "Dandelions" and "World Without End" are just incredible. Don't miss this band if you're a ska fan! Check out their website at www.fiveironfrenzy.com.

All Star United

This band is just plain awesome! Although they are usually described as a europop band, they don't play any particular style of music. Instead, they mix it up with everything from oldies rock to punk rock to ska to disco-esque tunes and everything in between. Their music is fun to listen to, and their live show is amazing too. I definitely recommend them to anyone who likes rock or alternative Christian music. Check out their website at www.allstarunited.com.

dcTalk

I imagine everybody's heard of this awesome group. This Christian band has made multiple appearances on MTV and other shows. dcTalk is definitely full of surprises. Almost every album is a completely new style, and the scary thing is that they do every new style with perfection. After rocketing to the top of Christian and secular music charts with the smash hit "Jesus Freak," they took a little rest and released "Welcome to the Freak Show," a live recording of one of their concerts. Their most recent release was the excellent album, "Supernatural." Visit www.dctalk.com for more info.

Jars of Clay

Jars of Clay is another of my favorite groups who has a sound all their own. They combine rock with softer tunes using violins and such, and the result is incredible and indescribable. Their poetic lyrics are just as beautiful as the music. While their newest album, "If I Left the Zoo," was a radical stylistic change, it's still awesome. Check out their website at www.jarsofclay.com.
